{marry me loves} local, edible favors for your guests!

What is it about fall that makes us want to embrace it edible-y?  As usual, our thoughts wander to weddings and our hope that some of these Long Island specialties could (and do) make perfect favors for your fall (or any season) wedding!

Dreesen’s Donuts – need we say more?  ALWAYS absolutely delicious just the way they are, but the Milk Pail Country Store in Watermill takes the Dreesen recipe to a whole ‘notha level with their apple cider flavor.  Nothing says ‘fall’ (or heaven) quite like these.  We will keep our fingers crossed that they are willing to bake a batch for your wedding – as long was we get a (donut) kick-back.

Artisanal Salt?  Harvested on Long Island??  In Amagansett???  That’s what we think your guests will be saying upon receiving one of these darling, salt-filled jars at your wedding.  We love Amagansett Sea Salt Co.‘s all-natural approach to creating their salt and that they even carry blended versions with herbs and spices.  Sometimes even we are amazed at what can be made/grown/created on our beloved Long Island!

A Taste of the North Fork brings you an amazing selection of jellies, jams, mustards, vinegars, oils, spices – all from Long Island-grown ingredients.  Guests will learn how Long Island offers farm fresh ingredients for an array of condiments and seasonings – a perfect touch for a LI locavore!
