We’ve fallen in love with Melinda and Chris’s November 19, 2011 wedding for a number of reasons – stylish and glamourous come to mind over peacock feathered details and crystal embellishments. But even more so is the history and journey to their big day, that started as childhood friends, delayed by hurricane Irene, and finally coming together for a perfect wedding day. (See their engagement session by Christina Bohn here)
You would think that having to postpone your wedding day would be beyond stressful – if so, Melinda and Chris hardly showed it. When the day finally came, everything fell right into place.

TRUE LOVE IN THE MAKING | Our story is one of childhood memories, a great friendship, and true love. We met in early elementary school, and had remained good friends thereafter. Our dynamic was always special, as if our love interest had been there since day one. As we grew up, life would take us in different directions, and as fate would have it, we would always come back to the same place. After almost 20 years of friendship, it was undeniable, and we fell madly in love. So now I truly married my best friend!
SURROUNDED BY THE BEST | I highly recommend all of my vendors. Our original wedding date was August 28, 2011, which also turned out to be the day Hurricane Irene hit Long Island. With our guests and vendors in mind, we decided to postpone our wedding date for November. All of our vendors were wonderful and so understanding in accommodating us on short notice. With such an unfortunate situation, we felt so fortunate to have them on our side. We truly had our dream wedding with a dream team!LIST OF VENDORS Ceremony | Our Lady of Ostradrama R.C.C.
