I consider it an honor when I get to watch a couple’s ceremony. It doesn’t happen often when I am working, since most of the time we are long gone before it even begins. For Brenda and Daniel’s wedding however, I got to do just that. Heidi and I arrived at the Old Field Club to set-up together, and Christina was there shortly after to start photographing. The sky was overcast, but the bride nor the groom seemed worried – they smiled and laughed amongst their family and friends as we finished setting up. Brenda stepped out of the bridal suite with her mother and father with a smile so incredible and contagious, and they walked down the aisle to a gorgeous backdrop of gray skies set against the tree-lined creek.
The ceremony not only joined them as husband and wife, but two different religious backgrounds as well. Of all the ceremonies I’ve witnessed, this was one of the sweetest – a priest and rabbi shared advice, kind words and blessing from each of their religions. Both families stood proudly next to the bride and groom the entire ceremony. It was such a beautiful way to join the families together.
